This picture was taken on one of the highest peaks in the Smokies this past Spring and yes that is snow on the trees behind us. I'm reminded that our Creator is too big for words alone and that His creation speaks volumes about Him. Join us in pausing and pondering the awesomeness of God. Give thanks for He is good and His love endures forever and so does ours in Him and we pray yours will as well.
If you would like Carolyn and I to pray for you or for a specific need in your life, please go to http://www.connectionscc.org/ and click the prayer request link on the home page of our church. We will lift you up to our Creator trusting that He desires to bless you and to strengthen you. May you always take comfort in knowing that God is faithful (see I Corinthians 1:9) and He promises to be faithful to us in every season of life (see I Corinthians 10:13).
God's Peace,
Jeff

What a great reminder that God's ways are not our ways. The coldness of snow in August points out that He is the creator of all things, and that He is strong when we are weak (and we are always weak, and He is always strong).
And even with such a great gap between God and broken humanity, God the Father was able to reach down through Jesus and lift us up, so we can be brothers and sisters of Christ, and friends of God.
And that's cause for rejoicing, and shouting AMEN, and sharing it with friends, family, neighbors, and strangers on the street.
Thank you for the reminder that God is in charge, and that there's a better day coming. I'm going to be interested to see what picture you post in February . . .
Thanks for your encouraging thoughts about our Creator and for encouraging me to think ahead to February 2012. I'm dreaming of a mountain shot from a little island in the Pacific. He's BIG so we can can dream Big!
