This week at Connections we'll launch a new lesson series entitled "The Great Restoration Project" and the theme verse will be Proverbs 11:3 which says: "The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity."
The series centers around an increasing burden I have to see people act responsibly in their faith. As the picture above suggests, I'll be asking people to either "do it" or "ditch it" because it is simply irresponsible to sit around and allow a classic to rot and decay.
If you're sick and tired of being sick and tired of excuses for irresponsibility in your home, school, work, church, community, nation, etc. then this series will most likely speak to you.
I'm looking to encourage people who want to own the responsibility of the classic Christian faith and if that's you, let's DO IT!!
God's Peace,
Jeff

I don't know why, but the first thing I thought of was a McDonald's commercial that aired a few years go. (Oh yeah, I was thinking of food!) It has a young guy driving a beat-up classic car through the drive-thru. And every time he went through to get his Mickey D's, his car would gradually go from a state of disrepair to a fully functioning hot rod. The point in the McDonald's commercial is that if you eat there, you'll save money. The point for Christians is that if we continually walk in the power of the Holy Spirit daily, then we will be transformed. And that transformation into the image of Christ is far more glorious than anything at a car show!
Looking forward to the series. I imagine you might be touching on Luke 14:28 sometime, about counting the cost.
